Memories of LA

Posted about my trip to LA.  Check it out here.  It's a tad long but captures my experiences.

ciao,

Currently Listening
So Far from Home
By Brave Saint Saturn
see related

I love His ways.

... but I am doing SO bad on keeping up with the blog disclosure of how the wind feels, the light looks and the air smells on this journey He has called me to.  I struggle to articulate the feel beneath my feet of this path He has set me on.  Yet so many are watching from the river bank to see how far this fool makes it as the first to risk crossing the piranha-infested waters.  Not the first, certainly.  And not the only.  But the others have crossed before I got here, or are too far upstream or downstream for me to see or hear.  So for now I feel alone in this particular section of river.  Fighting unseen or unanticipated currents.  Feeling the stares on the back of my head.  Feeling the expectations on the back of my soul.  They imagine me wise and brave.  But all I know to do is inhale and exhale, moment by moment.  My arms are moving but I can't see the other shore.  I can't define destination nor guage direction.

All I know is that I am right to be in the river, to have jumped off the bank.

All I want is for somebody to tell me that it's OK to only know that much right now.

Some interesting stops in your travels to iMosaic blogs:

flowerdust has started a discussion on whether we really need bigger and better buildings, coffee bars and tech upgrading in middle/upper class north american churches.

If you haven't been reading the chronicles of Max on Steve & Deana Watson's blogs... you really, really need to.

I posed the question a while back on my blog about what your avatar aka profile pic says about you and the kind of online persona you are trying to portray.

Any of my barbarian friends stumbling onto my less than premium Xanga account here can click through to my Blogger blog.  My June 17th and 21st posts give more insight/background into the growing call of God in my life and how it's developed over the last year...and what a dangerous influence y'all are!
